Source Code 2011 Movie Info

A really great film with solid acting, some mind-bending sci-fi, romance, thrills and suspense. I've always enjoyed the "time-loop" style storylines, but this is a likeable movie for much more than just it's setup. It has heart, a satisfying ending and connects us emotionally w... read moreith its characters from early on.

You can argue about the ending, but that is part of the beauty of a film like this... some ambiguity and discussion is more fun than a simple cut & dry explanation of things. Personally I don't think the ending is hard to decipher at all, especially when compared with movies like Primer or Inception. As for major plot holes... there really aren't any if you understand what happened.

Jake Gyllenhaal is a believable hero who we can care about, Michelle is beautiful and friendly, and Vera Farmiga is excellent as a conflicted, compassionate military officer. I believe the biggest factor in creating suspense is if you CARE about what happens, and I did in this movie.

Yes, the ending is a challenge in at least one way.... Colter is inhabiting the body of a previously existing individual. That naturally is going to create conflict down the road when his family wonders why he remembers nothing about them, etc. Source Code movie download

But I believe the bottom line is a far better world for Colter (and everyone else) than the one he just left... and that is why this is a happy ending. After all, I think most of us would be happy if we knew our own actions left the world a better place than if we hadn't been there.
